Piano Notes Binder Cover

Welcome to another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge! I will admit I have been wanting to make a cover for my son's piano lesson binder since this summer. Not sure why it took me so long. A little secret {shhhh} this was very easy.

My son loves the color green so I looked through my Expression cart swatches and picked this green pattern from the JT cart. I then used Cricut Craft Room to weld and cut the letters and notes. I used CCR Font and Quarter Note cart to accomplish this. After adhering the layers to together, I did a little white doodling and stamped the cute little Peachy Keen Boy Mates faces with white craft ink. Next, I slid the sheet behind the clear vinyl cover.

FCCB Challenge - Man's World

Happy Monday crafters! I am so excited to tell you that this week's sponsor is one of my very close friends. She has created and produced her own line of clear photopolymer stamps. They are just fabulous! I just can't say enough about her creative talent. You may have seen some of my projects in the past utilized some of her fabulous stamps. She sells them along with other paper crafting supplies at her store, Iron Gate Stamps. This week I used her Fortune Cookies set for the sentiment and border and her soon to be released, Birthday Wishes set for the mustache.

I cut the cupcake out at 3" from the Something To Celebrate cart. I embossed the red background layer with the Cuttlebug Houndstooth folder and the black flag with the Polka Dots folder. The cardstock are scraps. I used Candy Cane Stickles on the heart. Yes, I know this isn't exactly "manly", but I thought it needed a little sparkle:-) I punched a hole in the cupcake in order to insert a toothpick with the HVD banner attached to it.

Yappy Birthday!

I know, I got a little carried away with the blue. I was originally just going to use a little but I found some old star paper and then...... I made this birthday card using the Boys Will Be Boys cart. I cut it at 4 1/2" width to fit a 5 1/2" square card base.

The white circle layer is embossed with the Cuttlebug Number Collage folder. The tag die is from My Creative Time which I stamped with the perfect sentiment from Scrappy Moms Raining Cats and Dogs set. I stapled some scrap ribbon I had in my stash. I laughed after I put it together because it looked more "cosmic" than what I had envisioned. I got to use my Stickles, Black Diamond on the nose (yes, it's a wet nose).

Pink Snowflake Mittens

I have been having so much fun making Valentines for my Etsy store that I totally lost track of time and realized I haven't been doing any challenges this week. I came across Trendy Twine's challenge on their blog yesterday and knew I could get this one done.

I used the Holiday Cakes Cricut cart and pink BoBunny cardstock to cut out the mittens. I stamped them with Iron Gate Stamps' Sweater background stamp and embossed the cuff with Sizzix Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I tied the pink buttons with some Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and stamped the sentiment from Iron Gate Stamps' Snowflake set. The base layer is embossed with Cuttlebug's Snowflake folder. I inked the edges of the mitten and cuff with Tea Dye Distress Ink to help give it definition. I know... no Stickles:-( I thought about it, though:-)

FCCB Tag Challenge and Crawl Winner

I hope everyone was able to crawl through the Design Team blogs last week. I sure enjoyed getting inspiration from my DT sisters. I also loved all of your sweet comments. And on that note, I had my son Alex pick a random number. He chose comment number 30. Congrats Sonya! Please email me your mailing information and I'll get your Valentine goodies out to you right away. Thanks again to everyone who participated. Make sure you check the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog site Wednesday to find out who the fabulous winners are:-)

This week's challenge is all about Tags! I made a super quick and easy tag that can be attached to any Valentine gift. I used the Something To Celebrate cartridge for the banner tag and the Sweethearts cart for the larger hearts. I used a hand punch for the smallest heart. The sweet sentiment comes from My Pink Stamper's Yummy-licious set. The cardstock is from Echo Park's Victorian Garden stack.

Make sure you head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to get all of this week's challenge details. Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day:-)
